This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and shared when you visit closingwithcato.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated by Adam Cato, Mortgage Broker, NMLS #1855852, of Anchor Funding, Inc. (NMLS #236419) (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
This policy covers the Site only. Information you give us when you apply for a loan is handled under a separate privacy notice, described in the “Loan Applications” section below.
Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. If you contact us, book a call, comment on a blog post, or start a loan application, you may give us information such as your name, email address, phone number, and the details you choose to share in a message or form.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, the pages you view, the links you click, how long you stay, and the website that referred you. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Google Analytics and Google Search Console
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Site, such as which pages are most popular and how long people stay. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect usage data and report it to us in aggregated form. We do not use Google Analytics to collect your name, email address, or other directly identifying information, and we do not send that kind of information to Google through Analytics.
We also use Google Search Console, which shows us which search terms lead people to the Site and how our pages perform in Google Search. Search Console data is linked to our Google Analytics account.
Google may use the data it collects according to its own policies. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, visit How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Google’s general privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Your choices. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings (see “Cookies” below).
Cookies
Cookies are small files placed on your device by a website. We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, measure traffic through Google Analytics, and remember basic preferences. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. If you do, some parts of the Site may not work as intended.
Comments
If you leave a comment on a blog post, we collect the information shown in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see whether you have a profile picture. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. After your comment is approved, your profile picture, if you have one, is visible to the public alongside your comment.
Scheduling a Call (Calendly)
Our “contact” and scheduling links take you to Calendly, a third-party scheduling service. When you book a time, Calendly collects the information you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number, and any notes. We use that information to confirm and hold the appointment and to follow up with you. Calendly’s handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy at calendly.com/privacy.
Loan Applications
The “Get Pre-Approved” and “Apply Now” links on the Site take you to a secure loan application portal operated by a third-party loan software provider on our behalf. That portal is separate from this Site. The personal and financial information you enter there is collected, used, and protected under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and applicable state laws, and under the privacy notice we provide when you apply.
Please do not send sensitive personal or financial information, such as Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or full income documents, through the Site’s comment forms or by regular email. Use the secure application portal instead.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- respond to your questions and requests and schedule appointments;
- provide information about loan options and your application, if you apply;
- operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its content;
- understand how visitors find and use the Site;
- protect the Site against spam, fraud, and misuse; and
- comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed with:
- Service providers that help us run the Site and our business, such as Google (analytics and search reporting), Calendly (scheduling), our website hosting provider, and our loan application software provider;
- Lenders, our brokerage, and other parties involved in processing a loan, if you apply, as described in the privacy notice you receive at application; and
- Authorities or other parties when required by law, or when needed to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Certain information collected in connection with a loan application is covered by federal financial privacy law and is exempt from some of these rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
